Cavities happen for a variety of reasons. Dr. King uses tooth colored fillings and ceramic crowns to repair decayed teeth and restore your smile.
A cavity filling is a common dental procedure designed to repair a tooth that has been affected by dental decay. Also known as dental caries or cavities, these are areas of the tooth that have been damaged and weakened by bacteria, acids, and plaque. During the filling process, Dr. King removes the decayed portion of the tooth and cleans the affected area to eliminate any remaining bacteria. Once the decay is removed, a resin based tooth colored filling material is placed that restores the tooth to its original function and look.
